How Much Do Custom Curtains Cost in Dubai? (2026 Complete Pricing Guide)
How Much Do Custom Curtains Cost in Dubai?
If you’re planning to upgrade your home with elegant window treatments, one of the first questions you’ll probably ask is:
“How much do custom curtains cost in Dubai?”
The answer depends on several factors, including the size of your windows, fabric selection, curtain style, lining, hardware, and installation requirements.
Unlike ready-made curtains, custom curtains are designed specifically for your windows, ensuring a perfect fit, premium appearance, and long-lasting quality. While the initial investment is typically higher, custom-made curtains provide greater value through superior craftsmanship, better materials, and tailored designs.
In this guide, we’ll explain what influences the cost of custom curtains in Dubai, what you can expect during the buying process, and why investing in quality window treatments is worthwhile.
Why Choose Custom Curtains?
Custom curtains are made according to the exact dimensions of your windows and your personal design preferences.
Instead of selecting standard sizes, you can choose:
- Premium fabrics
- Curtain colors
- Patterns
- Pleat styles
- Blackout or sheer linings
- Motorized systems
- Decorative accessories
- Curtain tracks or rods
The result is a window treatment that fits perfectly and complements your home’s interior.
What Affects the Cost of Custom Curtains?
Several factors determine the final price of custom curtains.
1. Window Size
Window size has one of the biggest impacts on cost.
Larger windows require:
- More fabric
- Longer curtain tracks
- Additional hardware
- More installation time
Floor-to-ceiling windows, sliding doors, and panoramic glass walls commonly found in Dubai villas generally cost more than standard bedroom windows.
2. Fabric Selection
Fabric quality plays a major role in pricing.
Common options include:
Linen
Natural, elegant, and ideal for modern interiors.
Velvet
Luxurious and excellent for insulation and formal spaces.
Cotton
Versatile and suitable for many room styles.
Polyester Blends
Durable, easy to maintain, and available in a wide range of designs.
Sheer Fabrics
Perfect for allowing natural light while maintaining privacy.
Blackout Fabrics
Designed to block sunlight, reduce heat, and improve sleep quality.
Premium imported fabrics usually cost more but offer better durability, richer textures, and enhanced appearance.
3. Curtain Style
The curtain heading style also affects the overall price.
Popular styles include:
- Wave Curtains
- Ripple Fold Curtains
- Pinch Pleat Curtains
- Eyelet Curtains
- Pencil Pleat Curtains
- Double Pleat Curtains
- Goblet Pleat Curtains
More intricate designs require additional craftsmanship and fabric.
4. Lining Options
Curtain lining improves both performance and durability.
Available options include:
- Standard lining
- Thermal lining
- Blackout lining
- Light-filtering lining
- Acoustic lining
Adding specialized lining increases the overall cost but offers benefits such as improved insulation, UV protection, and enhanced privacy.
5. Hardware
The curtain hardware you choose contributes to the final investment.
Options include:
- Curtain rods
- Ceiling tracks
- Decorative finials
- Motorized rails
- Hidden tracks
- Premium accessories
High-quality hardware not only improves appearance but also ensures smooth operation and longer service life.
6. Motorized Curtain Systems
Motorized curtains are becoming increasingly popular in Dubai due to their convenience and compatibility with smart homes.
These systems may include:
- Remote control operation
- Smartphone app control
- Voice assistant integration
- Scheduled opening and closing
- Quiet electric motors
Motorized curtains typically cost more than manual systems because of the technology and specialized installation involved.
7. Professional Installation
Professional installation ensures:
- Accurate measurements
- Proper curtain fullness
- Secure mounting
- Smooth operation
- Elegant draping
Many homeowners prefer professional installation to achieve the best possible finish and avoid measurement or fitting mistakes.

Why Custom Curtains Offer Better Value
Although ready-made curtains may appear less expensive initially, custom curtains often provide better long-term value.
Benefits include:
- Perfect fit
- Superior craftsmanship
- Longer lifespan
- Better insulation
- Higher-quality materials
- Enhanced property aesthetics
- Increased home value
Custom curtains are less likely to require replacement or alterations, making them a worthwhile investment over time.
Hidden Costs to Consider
When comparing quotations, make sure you understand what is included.
Ask whether the price covers:
- Home consultation
- Window measurement
- Fabric
- Lining
- Curtain tracks or rods
- Accessories

Choosing a company that provides a complete package can help avoid unexpected expenses later.
